Welcome to eqhq Philly. We're a faith-centered Christian lifestyle brand based in Philadelphia, sharing DJ services, music, plant-based recipes, and nutrition guides. We respect the people who visit this site, and we want to be clear and honest about the information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • DJ booking inquiries. When you use the form on our Book a DJ page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, event date, and the event details you share.

  • Messages. If you contact us through a form or by email, we receive whatever you choose to include.

  • Email signups. If we offer a newsletter or announcement signup and you join, we collect your email address (and your name, if you provide it).

  • Orders (when our shop opens). If you buy something, such as an ebook, music download, or DJ booking deposit, we collect your name, email, billing details, and what you ordered. Payment card details are entered into and handled by our payment processors; we do not see or store your full card number.

Please don't send us sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers or health records) through the site.

Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site, which is hosted by Squarespace, automatically collects basic technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, general location (such as city or region), the pages you view, the page that sent you here, and the date and time of your visit.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your booking inquiries and messages, and plan your event

  • Process and deliver orders, and send receipts and order updates

  • Send newsletters or announcements, only if you signed up (you can unsubscribe anytime)

  • Understand how the site is used so we can improve it

  • Keep the site secure and prevent fraud or misuse

  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run the site and our services, and only as needed:

  • Squarespace, which hosts our website and runs our forms, analytics, email tools, and online store

  • Payment processors (such as Stripe and PayPal), which process payments securely when you make a purchase

  • Email providers, which deliver booking inquiries and messages to us and help us reply

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety, or property of our visitors, ourselves, or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business. If that ever happens, this policy would continue to protect your information.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our site uses Squarespace's standard cookies to make the site work (for example, keeping items in a shopping cart and keeping the site secure) and to provide basic visitor statistics. Squarespace explains its cookies in its own Cookie Policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like the shopping cart, may not work properly without them. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Booking inquiries and messages: as long as needed to respond and serve you, then deleted when no longer needed

  • Order records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes

  • Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you

  • Site analytics: as set by Squarespace's standard retention

Your choices and rights

You can always:

  • Unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any message, or by emailing us

  • Ask to see the personal information we have about you

  • Ask us to correct information that's wrong

  • Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it (for example, for tax records)

U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, state laws (such as California's) may give you additional rights. These can include the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We don't sell or share personal information in that way. Not every law applies to every business, but we're glad to honor reasonable requests from anyone.

How to make a request. Email us at eqhqphilly@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and within any time period required by law. We will never treat you differently for making a privacy request.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Keeping your information safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and our site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection through Squarespace. Payments are handled by processors that follow industry security standards. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take the trust you place in us seriously.

Links and embedded content

Our site may link to other websites and may include embedded content, such as music from SoundCloud, videos from YouTube, or posts from Instagram. When you view or play embedded content, those services may collect information about you and set their own cookies, just as if you had visited their sites. Their own privacy policies apply, and we encourage you to read them. We are not responsible for the practices of other websites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If we make important changes, we may also let you know on the site.
